Too much downtime can lead to behavioral problems in the classroom (and in workshops). There's no reason to be bored or unsure of what to do if you finish an activity early.
If you are a fast finisher, select any of the activities below that interest you to extend your knowledge. No email checking, texting, or online shopping necessary in this workshop!
Prepare
One of the hallmarks of strong classroom management and tier one strategies is planning and preparation. Create a "to-do" list of what you need to do over the summer to get your classroom ready to function smoothly in the fall.
Explore
Review this expansive list of Tier 1 interventions from the PBIS World Website.
Reflect on how you will implement some of the strategies, and/or develop procedures associated with the recommended Tier One interventions.
Listen
Listen to this podcast from Think Inclusive on utilizing positive behavior supports with Dr. Mona Delahooke. If you don't have earbuds, you may leave the room to listen and come back when the timer sounds.
